Below are some answers to the most common questions talent may have about their profiles and other directory details.
What kind of voice talent should submit for inclusion in this directory?
If you are an established talent with credits, a home studio, great demos, audio editing knowledge, production skills and experience as well as familiar with the online casting process, you are probably perfect for submission and will go right through the screening process. If you're a new talent, or one just getting their sea-legs with all of the demands of being a home based voice talent and you have a limited online presence as well as experience, you may want to think twice about submitting your profile, as we scrutinize every detail of every applicant. This doesn't mean it's like a jail around here, but we do take a close look at people and some new talent do make it through the process.

Some parts of the process are automated whereas others are very hands on and we handle a lot of that work for you.
As for logging into the site: When it comes to basic accounts you can log into your member interface and change your password, your email and contact information and you can also upload updates demos and logos or head-shots. When you register in the database for a basic account we take the information you provide during your submission and list it in the account. Currently the basic account displays your logo, your demo and your studio information, but nothing else beyond that, so there isn't a lot to log-in and change.
If you want to make wholesale changes or updates to your Enhanced Listing we have systems in place to do it - but the easiest way is to email us with your new demo or logo or text update and we'll take care of updating it for you.
People with enhanced accounts have a lot more flexibility with access and changes to their account. Their enhanced profiles can say what ever they want them to say. They can have many more demos and direct contact information as well as hot links to their personal web site. Even though there are some features which allow them more liberal access to their accounts, they are not entirely automated. We still do a fair amount on our end to get everything listed and displayed correctly.
This was never meant to be an automated system where we had no idea what was going on on our own web site. Everything is very tightly controlled for quality reasons, all the way down to who can join. It isn't a power thing, it's a quality thing. We also do a lot of the work so that the talent doesn't have to. We're happy to take the reigns and present them in the brightest light. Part of the service with enhanced accounts is letting us take care of the heavy lifting with the directory.
As for upgrading from a basic listing to an enhanced listing, it's as easy as sending us an email. We'll walk you through the entire process from there on out.
Some of the information in my profile is outdated. Can I change it?
Sure, if you have a basic listing (the free one) you can upload updates in your members area. The link to the members area was attached to the email you received when you signed up. If you lost that email just let us know and we'll re-send it. With basic accounts we can't guarantee that we'll get to your updates away. We're pretty busy here and it is a free listing. Enhanced profile members can get multiple and unlimited updates, as well as multiple demos and video demo listings and they don't have to wait.
Are we ever going to be allowed to have more than one demo in the directory?
Yes, absolutely. Right now you can add videos, unlimited demos, web site addresses and personal contact information to your profiles if you would like to. Though there are fees involved. If you're interested in enhancing your profile please give us a call or send us an email to discuss your needs.
We want everyone to have more demos in the directory, though there are a few things for people to consider. If the demo truly compliments your profile and adds to your range and area of expertise, then we think you should have it up where people can find it. If it is just another demo and you want to share it with the world, you first need to make sure that it is the best representation of your talent and abilities. Having a million demos online won't do you a lot of good if none of them are polished and professional. Stick to putting your best foot forward.
Also, audio and video data takes a lot of resources to store and stream. This translates into expense, no matter how you try to crack it up. In order for us to keep the directory functioning efficiently and make hosting a lot of talent demos affordable, we have to keep the demos to one per talent for the basic listing, or we have to charge to list additional demos.
