Online Voice Classes

MineWurx Studio Online Classes:: 

The Best Online Voice Over Instruction Available Anywhere. Real People, Real time.

MineWurx Studio Online Classes are private, live classes that take place over the internet via Skype. Students are connected to a live instructor the whole time during the classes, where they have the ability to address concerns in a real-time learning environment. Each class is customized to each students individual needs, and are not cookie cutter classes. We see all of our students as individuals, who all posess different needs and need to be taught in a way they can understand and comprehend. This is why we do not have form fit lessons that we try to apply to everyone.

Class Format::

At a students scheduled time, they connect with the studio via Skype and the class time begins. Depending on the class and whether or not the student is taking voice over lessons, topics are covered in a variety of ways. Students who get a free voice over evaluation will have a better understanding of how voice over lessons are conducted. For all other classes topics are introduced until all subject matter is covered.

As a student in any one the classes you are free to ask about any and all concerns regarding the topic being addressed. Each topic is followed with a Q and A session until all topics are completely understood.

Also, please note there are day and evening class times - so we will be able to work it into your schedule.

Online Voice Over Coaching ::

Sessions are held just like in-studio sessions.
MineWurx Studio supplies all commercial copy.
While we are connected via Skype, class participants record commercial reads in their studio and forward them to MineWurx for review. At the same time they receive real time feedback on their reads.
The recorded files are reviewed here at the studio and the student receives real-time direction and instruction on how to improve their reads and better interprate the copy.
The process is repeated over the course of the students sessions with several pieces of copy until the copy is mastered, then we move on to a new pieces of copy.
These classes are a lot of fun and very instructional.

Online Voice Over Coaching Prices: 1.5 hours per Session:

Voice over coaching sessions last 10 weeks for a cost of $800 - payable in two payments of $400 if the VO student so wishes. If you choose the payment option, the remaining $400 is due at the beginning of your 4th lesson. This allows people to split the lump sum up into two payments. (Something many of my students had requested in the past.)

An additional benefit to taking our online classes is you also receive feedback about your studio sound and how to improve it.

Speech and Voice Coaching ::

These are non-voice over specific classes. In these classes we do not teach anything about commercial voice over, though we do use some of the same methods for teaching new skills and working through linguistics and pronounciation issues.
These are speech improvement classes that specifically target linguistics issues, urban or regional affects, accent elimination, articulation, annunciation and pronunciation, speech preparation and delivery coaching.

These classes are for those who are not specifically interested in voice over - but have other speech issues that need specialized attention.

Classes are an hour in length and are available as a single class or as an eight week class package.

Single Class - $80.00 - Eight Week Package - $600.00

Workshop Voice Over Class::
This is a shorter, less expensive voice over lesson which lasts 45 minutes instead of 1 1/2 hours.
Workshop Cost: $55.00

 

Copy Interpretation Workshop::
Take a fast, in-depth workshop on discovering the keys in copy. Learn how to quickly decipher the meaning of the copy and the intention of the writer. Get tips on how to take any piece of copy whether it be commercial, narration or technical - and quickly turn it into something that makes sense and will more accurately depict what the producer is demanding when read. This is an excellent workshop for those who need to bone up on their audition and cold read skills. Class length is 45 minutes - All copy is supplied, but you are welcome to introduce your own..
Workshop Cost: $85.00

Voice Over Demo Package Evaluation::
For this fee we will go over your entire voice over demo package with you this includes all of your personal voice over demos.
We will detail our opinions regarding demo structure, speed and pace, length, content and audio quality. We will provide our recommendations regarding changes you should make concerning content structure, or if we find anything lacking or repetitive. We will examine your demo branding and imaging and provide constructive criticism surrounding how we think the demos are representing your talents and whether or not you could be better represented.
For subscribing to our demo evaluation services you will be entitled to discounted editing rates should you decide to have us re-edit some of your work.
Workshop Cost: $100.00

Home Studio Setup and Design ::

Class #1: Your Home Studio - What equipment to buy and how it works together.

This class is an introductory class about setting up and or building your own home voice over studio. The class includes an in depth explanation of what equipment you need, what not to purchase and how to get by with what you have. We cover what type of computer you will need, what types of sound cards you should look into, which microphones and mixers may be an option. We also cover your available budget and working inside that budget, will help you organize a list of the best equipment available.

After this class you will have a near complete understanding of, and be fully prepared for the types of things you will face when you set out to purchase voice over equipment construct your studio space.
Class #1 Price: $100.00 - Up to 1.5 hours

Class #2: Wiring your Studio and Getting it Online.

This class covers all wiring concerns including computer input issues, balanced versus unbalanced systems, getting the equipment to function as one and what all those little knobs are on your new mixer. During this class time we will talk you through the setup procedures involved with your new equipment and help you test the sound system to make sure it is the best it can be.
Class #2 Price: $135.00 - Up to 2:00 hours

Class #3: Your Home Studio - The importance of silence.

This class deals primarily with sound isolation and acoustic concerns in your recording environment. It covers the reasoning and methods behind sound isolation and also covers the best and most cost effective construction methods and products, as well as economical solutions for big problems.

During this class we will go over recordings made in your new studio and make suggestions on how to better improve your sound, as well as direct you toward the most appropriate products for your given budget and design.
Class #3 Price: $135.00 - Up to 2:00 hours
